South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Upbit has announced that it will list 2 new altcoins.
The exchange Upbit, where the volumes of altcoin transactions overshadow those of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) in South Korea, has announced the listing of Mantle (MNT) and Pocket Network (POKT).
On March 27, Upbit announced on its official website that it will list MNT at 12:00 PM GMT today and POKT at 11:00 AM GMT today.
According to the announcement by the exchange, deposits for ALT and PTYH will start at 10:00 AM. However, only the Ethereum network will be supported for MNT, and only the Pocket Network will be supported for POKT. Upbit warned against transferring from other networks.
It was stated that MNT will be available for trading in Bitcoin, USDT, and South Korean Won (KRW) pairs, and POKT will only be available for trading in USDT and BTC pairs. Following the listing, investors will be able to trade MNT/KRW, MNT/BTC, MNT/USDT, POKT/BTC, and POKT/USDT.
According to CoinGecko data, following the listing announcement, the altcoins soared. The price of POKT rose from $0.177 to $0.453, a 155% increase, and MNT increased from $0.9 to $1.28, a 33% increase.
