The altcoin project listed by the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase is leading its own industry.
Ronin Network (RONIN), recently listed by Coinbase, has turned into a rising star lately. According to Token Terminal, the user base of Ronin has shown an increase of over 700% since the beginning of 2024.
The increased interest is mainly attributed to the Binance-backed Web3 based game project Pixels (PIXEL). According to DappRadar, last month, 1.2 million unique users transacted on PIXEL through the Ronin Network.
Sky Mavis, the company behind the Ronin blockchain, also the growth lead Jeffery Zirlin emphasized the importance of PIXEL for the industry in an interview with CoinDesk Global:
Whereas some people thought that crypto games would only become popular with industry studio quality video games, the best game that pumps energy into the sector is a bit nostalgic, pixelated farming game – not a masterpiece like Red Dead Redemption II.
Pixels was initially launched on the Polygon (MATIC) network but moved to the Ronin network months ago with a radical decision. In the recent bull run, the Ronin network hosted a similar web game, Axie Infinity (AXS), which drew great attention.
According to CoinGecko data, PIXEL has shown a 4% increase, and RONIN has shown a 12% increase in the last 24 hours.
